After our tour, we were swooning about this romantic venue, perfect for a smaller wedding reception or a private rehearsal dinner. Not only is this venue warm, elegant and private, but it is also equipped with a full modern kitchen, a private bar and of course an extensive and very impressive wine list.
For dinner, we dined at Araxi and were mesmerized by a superb five-course tasting menu Chef James Walt had prepared for us. We were seduced by an amazing tuna tartar, a sumptuous risotto, perfectly cooked duck and venison. This was followed by an impressive black forest cake with a black and white chocolate mousse-a most decadent dessert. This combination of a beautiful space, top notch service and a well-executed, beautiful meal has made The Cellar THE new hot spot for an unforgettable Whistler wedding.
